As you may already know, there are two parts to the 6 week period of HCG phase 3. During the 1st 3 weeks you are not supposed to eat and sugars and starches... meaning not only to avoid obvious sugars such as honey, desserts, etc., but also avoid sweeter fruits such as bananas, melons, etc. And meaning not only to avoid obvious starches such as bread, oatmeal, etc., but also avoid starchy vegetables such as potatoes, corn, yams, etc.
During the 2nd 3 weeks of HCG phase 3 you can slowly start to incorporate sugars and starches back into your diet… we recommend introducing healthy, natural sugars and starches first… such as sweet fruits, whole grain carbs, etc.
Also… as you may already know protein is a very crucial part of phase 3 of the HCG diet (regardless of what week you are in). Higher protein consumption while on HCG phase 3 usually leads to an easier time maintaining the weight loss and long term results. Therefore, it is important to eat protein at every meal and even try to squeeze in protein during snacks, such as hard boiled eggs, protein shakes, greek yogurt, etc.
