HCG Diet Tip 3: Avoid Regular Chapstick
Using any type of hygiene products with oil or moisturizers in them is a big NO-NO for Phase 2 of the HCG Diet. The reasoning behind this is... anything you put on your skin or lips that is absorbed through the skin will be metabolized just as if you had eaten it. For that reason, you need to evaluate EVERYTHING you use on your body for maximum weight loss results.
Some people do not change their lip balms, lotions, make-ups, etc. and they do 'okay' while on the HCG Diet. But, who knows, they could have done so much better and lost weight faster if they followed these simple rules.
Don’t use any normal chapstick or lip gloss while on the HCG Diet. It will slow your weight loss down. You may use baby oil or mineral oil.
HCG Diet Tip 4: Avoid Regular Lotions
Same things as above... anything you put on your skin or lips can be absorbed through the skin and metabolized just as if it was oil that you had eaten. That is why you shouldn't use your regular lotion while the HCG Diet. You should hide your regular lotion so you don't accidentally use it.
If you are dying of dry skin on the HCG Diet, there are two different options.
1.) You may use pure baby oil or mineral oil because these oils do not absorb into the skin, leaving your skin very oily. You can walk around all day looking like you're lathered up for sun-bathing or a body-building competition if you want... but we'd rather use the second option for dry skin.

Another thing that helps many HCG dieters stay on track is looking up inspirational quotes or pictures of 'dream bodies'. Get on twitter, facebook, or instagram and search hashtags like #inspo (short for inspiration), #qotd (quote of the day), #fitfam (fitness family).
