HCG Diet Phase 3 Recipe: Kickin’ Vitamin C Side Salad

This recipe is safe for the 1st 3 weeks of HCG Phase 3 and beyond because it does not contain and sugar or starches.


  • 1 cup romaine lettuce (washed and dried)
  • 1 carrot, peeled
  • ½ cup yellow or red grape tomatoes
  • 1 orange
  • ½ orange or red bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp salad dressing*


  1. Peel the orange and segments out the pulp with a shape knife.

  2. Cut all the ingredients into bite-size pieces (see photo from example).

  3. Place all ingredients in a large bowl, add your favorite low-sugar, low-carb dressing.

  4. Toss, serve, and enjoy.
