Phase 2
This part of the HCG Diet has many names, but it is a summary of the 500 Calorie Diet Phase or Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) Phase, and Phase 2 of the HCG Diet.
This phase is also sometimes called the VLCD (Very-Low Calorie Diet) phase of the HCG diet. This phase consists of your two gorge days (HCG + eating as much fatty food as you can possibly get down without making yourself ill) and then your 21-41 days of the VLCD (HCG + 500 calorie diet) phase of the HCG diet. Finally, after stopping HCG, you will follow the VLCD for 72 hours before moving on to the maintenance phase of the HCG diet.
If you are on this phase of the diet, you are either gorging or on the VLCD part of the diet.
For the Gorgers
For these first two days of the HCG diet, TAKE YOUR HCG and get down as much fatty food as you can without making yourself physically ill. Just be ready to feel F-U-L-L.
**Remember to take your HCG on these days!!!!**

4. An apple or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit or 1 orange.
Dinner : The same four choices as lunch.

The Last 72 hours of the VLCD Phase of the HCG Diet
· For the last 72 hours on the HCG diet (after your minimum of 21 days on the HCG + VLCD), you must stop taking your HCG and keep following the 500 calories / VLCD for 3 days or else you will gain.
· This is very important.
Common Things During First 3-5 Days on the VLCD Phase
· Loss of 2-3 lbs first day on VLCD and then about 1 lb after that.
· Headache (can take aspirin for that) as your body is detoxing from sugars, starches, etc that you usually eat.
· Mild hunger, even stomach growls – but don’t worry it will subside after about day 4 or 5.
