If you don’t already know, Dr. Simeons was an Italian doctor in the 60’s who formulated the HCG diet process. He worked with obese patients of all ages for over 20 years to create the perfect formula for the HCG diet to allow maximum weight loss and maintenance. He tried many, many things before releasing only those that worked in his manuscript for other medical professionals to see. However, since the diet was discovered, many people (patient and doctors alike) have made up their own ways to change the diet and make it so it is “easier” for their client/customer to lose weight. This may include allowing foods that weren’t on Dr. Simeons’ original food list or saying it is okay to use normal lotion/beauty products. However, while it may make the diet and beauty routine less strict, these changes can hinder speed of weight loss and also stop the detoxing effect that the HCG diet is supposed to have on your body and your hypothalamus (see Dr. Simeons’ Manuscript for more information on this).

So, all of our products and recommendations will follow the strict Dr. Simeons protocol. In fact, we created many of our products specifically for people who are on Phase 2 also known as the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) Phase of the Diet or for those on Phase 3 (also known as the Maintenance Phase) of the HCG diet. While on the HCG Diet, you are not allowed to put anything that has any fats or oils in it onto your skin (EXCEPT baby oil, which makes no sense, but that’s the rule). So, you need to check all of your make up and items such as soap, shampoo, hair products, LOTIONS, and more before you apply to your skin during the VLCD because if they contain any fats or oils, they WILL stall your weight loss OR make you gain. Don’t believe us? Try it yourself. Although, we wouldn’t recommend it as it will only slow you down. :)

HCG Diet Phase 2 Summary (Part 1 of 3)

Read a summary of phase 2 of the HCG diet! This site has tons of reliable HCG diet info!This part of the HCG diet has many different names. You may know it as or hear it referred to as one of the following names, Phase 2, P2, VLCD, Very Low Calorie Diet Phase, 500 Calorie Diet Phase. They are all the same part of the diet, just to clear up any possible confusion.

HCG Phase 2 basically consists of three basic parts, gorging, VLCD dieting, and exit days. 
Part 1: 2 days of gorging
Take the HCG diet drops and eat as much fatty food as you can possible get down without making yourself ill.
Part 2: 21-38 days of the VLCD diet
Take the HCG diet drops at eat according to the very, specific 500 calories per day, very-low calorie diet food plan. 
Part 3: 3 days of 'exiting'
Do not take the HCG diet drops to start weaning yourself off the HCG hormones, you still must follow the very, specific 500 calories per day, very-low calorie diet food plan. for 72 hours while taking NO HCG before moving on to the next phase of the diet, which is called the maintenance phase of the HCG diet.

Part 1: HCG Gorge Days: 

  • Day #1 & #2 are called gorging days or loading day.Read a summary of Phase 2 of the HCG Diet--- including how to gorge on the HCG Diet!
  • This is when you take your HCG supplement and eat tons of fatty foods to prepare your body for the diet.
  • Try to eat as much fatty food as you can without making yourself physically ill.
  • Fattening foods are the key to gorging, not sugary foods.
  • Some of the most common foods for gorging on the HCG diet are pizza, avocados, anything fried, whole milk, ice cream, fast food, ranch dressing, etc.
  • We have some example of gorge day menus so you can get an idea of what to eat, click here.
  • Remember to also eat anything that you will miss during the next month while on phase 2 of the HCG diet.
  • Enjoy these two gorge days as much as possible because for the next 23-38 days you will be on a very low calorie diet, that is very strict.
  • REMEMBER: You must take your HCG supplement during the two days of gorging.
